FROM THE HOME FRONT
Well we have started this journey into this deployment and some of us may have hit a few bumps here and there. But I hope that everyone knows if you have questions or are not sure about something that you can contact your Key Volunteer. I know these great ladies have been working very hard over the past weeks ensuring you have the information you need or looking to get the information to you ladies when you call. To the Key Volunteers of 2/3, I just can not give enough THANKS and PRAISE for all their efforts and time. To the spouses of 2/3 your Key Volunteer Network cares. If by chance you have not yet heard from your KV please call your Company KVC at the numbers listed and they will ensure that your KV contacts you.
I am listing two web links from the Marine Corps webpage ( www.usmc.mil) under
"Family" and then "Marine Corps Family Team
Building". I think these websites will help not only New Marines Spouses but even some of us season Marine Corps Spouse vets. Even if you never plan on being a Key Volunteer this training on line is very informational as to what a Key Volunteer is and does and what role they have with in the Battalion. Also for all NEW spouses and once again our seasoned vets LINKS (Lifestyles, Networking, Knowledge and Skills) is something I can not say enough good things about you will learn about Marine Corps history, tradition and language, Benefits and services, Financial awareness, Dealing with separation and deployments, Tips on moving, and Effective communication. I wish they would have offered this class many, many, years ago; my life would have been much easier J. The Marine Corps has so many great programs to assist the spouses and families, try and take advantage of those programs. Here is your chance to take advantage of some of these programs to make your life as a Marine Corps Spouse easier.
