Aikahi Elementary
welcomes Marines for fundraiser

More than 40 Marines from
Marine Corps Base Hawaii this morning helped with Aikahi
Elementary's Turkey Trot fundraising event.
Aikahi students, who obtained pledges earlier, ran a simple obstacle
course assisted by the Marines. The event has been held annually for
the last 40 years.

Island Marines go MRAP

AREA BELLOWS - Maj. Alan Crouch, a spokesman for Marine Corps
Base Hawaii, said at least six MRAPs are being used regularly for
training on O'ahu. The vehicles arrived around May.
Lance Cpl. Graham Davis, 20, was getting some behind-the-wheel time
recently at Bellows during exercise "Bellows Viper." About 50 Iraqi
nationals added realism to the training that included patrols
through mock Middle Eastern villages.
