Our mission is to provide a
wide range of supplies, logistics, and acquisition support services to
the operating forces, tenant commands, and supporting units of MCBH.
Through excellent and responsive customer service, we contract for
supplies and services not available through normal supply channels in
order to support the war fighter while protecting the tax-payers’
interests.
Services provided at
Regional Contracting Office Hawaii
We perform simplified
acquisitions and large contract acquisitions. Simplified acquisitions
are acquisitions via purchase orders and delivery orders whose value is
greater than $3,000 and no more than $100,000 for equipment, supplies
and services (from $2,500), such as tools, lumber, appliances, office
supplies, books/publications, subsistence, equipment maintenance,
repairs, non-personal services, furniture, etc. Large contract
acquisitions are acquisitions via contracts, delivery orders, and task
orders whose value is over $100,000 for equipment, supplies and
services, such as laundry services, aircraft washing, equipment
maintenance, equipment repairs, mess hall services, liquefied petroleum
gas, sky-towers, EOD robots, shelters, etc.
Any architect-engineer,
construction and facilities support contracts are performed by NAVFAC
(Navy Facilities Engineering Command) pursuant to NMCARS
5201.601-90(a)(1) (to include the Naval Construction Force/Seabees).
